Hinterbärenbad - Anton Karg House

Built in 1900, Hinterbärenbad is also known as the Anton Karg House, and is located in the heart of the beautiful Kaisertal at 829 m. Locals and guests enjoy the hospitality and cosiness, a combination of Tyrolean tradition and modernity. The Anton Karg house is located at the back of the Kaisertal, at a part of the Kaiserbach that is known as Hinterbärenbad. The house is located in a quiet, impressive location, with a view of the Wilder Kaiser and Zahmer Kaiser, right in the middle of the Wilder Kaiser nature reserve. It is easily accessible for day-trippers, and is therefore a popular excursion destination in good weather. The path to the hut is particularly scenic, because the light limestone rocks of the Kaiser Mountains seem to open up as the hiker follows their path, and it looks like they're walking into the mountain itself. Despite the fact that the Kaiser Mountains aren't actually that tall, they still look impressive from this path due to the more than 1,200 m difference in height between the path and the peaks. Accessibility: From Kufstein/Sparchen through the Kaisertal on the normal path (2 hours), or via the old Kaisertal path via the Antonius chapel (2.5 hours).
